Some damage is not worth repairing, and we say so before you spend anything.

Broken joints, loose legs and split boards. That is a cabinet maker job. We finish the piece after they fix it.
Upholstery. We do timber only.
A piece that needs stripping back over every surface and a full new finish in a workshop. We will tell you if that is the better path.

Can scratches be removed from a timber table?

Yes. Light scratches sit in the finish and we cut them back and re-finish the spot. Deep scratches go into the timber. We fill them, colour match the fill to the grain and re-finish the area. Either way we do it in your home, with the table where it is.

Can you fix water rings on timber?

Yes. A white ring is moisture trapped in the finish. We lift it and blend the finish. A dark ring means water reached the timber. We treat the timber, colour it back and rebuild the finish. A photo tells us which one you have.

Do you come to my home?

Yes. We repair furniture where it is, in homes, offices and hotels across Sydney. You do not need to move it or take it anywhere. We cover the floor and the area around the piece and clean up when we finish.

Can you match the colour of my furniture?

Yes. We mix colours on site against the piece. We match the base colour, the grain and the sheen. Matching is most of the work in a repair and it is what we train for.

Is it worth repairing old furniture?

Often, yes. A repair costs a fraction of a good replacement, and the piece stays in the room. Solid timber and veneer pieces can be repaired many times. We tell you if a piece is not worth the repair before you spend anything.

Do you restore timber furniture or only repair it?

Both. A repair covers one area, like a scratch, a ring or a worn edge. When a whole piece needs a new finish, we strip it back and French polish it by hand. That is our French polishing and furniture restoration service.
