What we say no to

When metal needs replacing.

Some damage is not worth repairing, and we say so before you spend anything.

Dents in thin stainless steel panels. We can reduce them, but a deep dent in a fridge door is not a repair we guarantee.
Rust that has eaten through the metal. Surface rust we remove. Holes need a metal worker.
Mirror-polished stainless steel with deep scratches. We can improve it, and we will tell you how far.

Can scratches be removed from stainless steel?

Yes. We cut the scratch back and re-grain the surface in the same direction as the existing finish, so the repair blends in. This works on brushed stainless steel rangehoods, splashbacks, lift panels and appliance doors. Deep scratches on mirror-polished steel are harder, and we say how far we can get.

Can you repair scratched aluminium window frames?

Yes. We blend scratches and scuffs on anodised and powder-coated frames and touch up chips with a colour matched coating. The frame stays in place and the glass stays in. Builders use us for frames damaged during a fitout.

Can rust stains be removed from metal?

Yes, when the rust is on the surface. We draw the staining out, cut the surface back and re-finish it evenly. If the rust has eaten through the metal, it needs a metal worker, and we tell you that from the photo.

Do you repair metal on the outside of buildings?

Yes. We repair cappings, cowls, trims, balustrades and external frames. We work on rooftops and facades with the right access and safety set-up. We are insured and WHS-compliant and can send our documents before we start.
