What we say no to

When a floor needs a full re-sand.

Some damage is not worth repairing, and we say so before you spend anything.

A whole floor that is worn through and needs sanding back and re-coating. That is a floor sander job.
Boards that are cupped, loose or rotten from water underneath. The floor has to be dried and fixed first.

Can scratches be repaired on a timber floor without sanding the whole floor?

Yes. We repair the scratched boards only. We cut back the marks, fill deep scratches, colour match the fill and re-coat the area so it blends with the boards around it. A full sand and re-coat is only needed when the whole floor is worn.

Can you repair laminate and vinyl plank floors?

Yes. Laminate and vinyl planks chip on the corners and scratch in traffic areas. We fill the damage and colour match the print of the plank. That avoids lifting the floor to swap one plank, which is often not possible on a glued floor.

Can you fix a dark water mark on a timber floor?

Usually. A dark mark means water reached the timber. We treat the stain, colour the timber back and rebuild the finish over it. If the board has cupped or gone soft, it needs a floor layer first. A photo tells us which one you have.

Do you repair floors before a rental inspection?

Yes. Scratched boards and dented planks are common items on an exit report. We repair them in one visit before you hand the keys back. Tell us the inspection date and we book around it.
