Caoba French Polish is a surface repair and restoration company based in Sydney. We repair damaged surfaces on site, in commercial buildings and in homes, instead of replacing them.
Who we are
WHERE WE COME FROM.
We are part of Caoba Group, a Sydney company that installs commercial fitouts. On a fitout, surfaces get chipped, scratched and knocked before the building is handed over. We started repairing those surfaces on the group’s own sites, because replacing a benchtop or a door at the end of a job costs time the program does not have.
That work became a company of its own. Today we do surface repair in Sydney for builders, fitout companies, property managers, strata and homeowners. The method is the same on a hotel corridor and in a kitchen: repair the damage where it is and colour match it so it stops showing.
We also do French polishing and furniture restoration by hand. It is the craft the company is named for.

How we work
THE WAY WE REPAIR.
We repair in place
The benchtop stays in the kitchen and the door stays on its hinges. We fill, rebuild and sand the damage where it is.
We mix colour on site
Every colour is mixed against the surface it goes on. We match the base colour, the pattern and the sheen.
We use materials made for each surface
Stone, laminate, timber, paint, metal and glass each take different fillers and finishes. We carry all of them.
We train on real jobs
We train on site, on real damage, to the standard our clients sign off on.
We check in daylight
A repair that looks fine under a work light can show in daylight. We check every repair in daylight before we leave.
