We are Caoba French Polish, a surface repair company in Sydney. This page explains what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It was last updated on 8 September 2026.
What you send us
The forms on this site ask for your name, email, phone number, suburb, the kind of surface, and a description of the damage. You can also attach a photo of the damage. The careers form asks for your name, contact details and what experience you have.
You choose what to put in. We only need enough to price the job and get back to you. Please do not send us anything sensitive: we do not need your date of birth, your licence, or your bank details to quote a repair.
What we do with it
We use what you send to write your quote, to answer you, and to do the work if you go ahead. When you send an enquiry, our system emails you a confirmation straight away so you know it arrived.
We do not sell your details. We do not give them to anyone for their own marketing.
Photos
If you send a photo, we use it to work out what the damage is and what the repair costs. We keep it with the job record. We do not publish your photo or use it in our advertising unless you tell us we can.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies in your browser and records things like the pages you open, roughly where you are (city level), and what device you use. We do not see your name or your address in it. We keep this data for 14 months.
The site also loads the Meta pixel. It sets a cookie and tells Meta when someone visits the site or sends an enquiry. We use it to measure whether our ads work and to show ads to people who have been here before.
Pages with a map load a Google Maps frame, and Google may set its own cookies when it loads.
Both tools are loaded through Google Tag Manager, which is a container that decides which of them runs.
Turning it off
You can block all of this from your side, and we would rather you knew how than not:
- Set your browser to block third-party cookies, or use private browsing.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Change your ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.
- Use a tracking blocker. Many already block both tools by default.
None of this stops the site working. The forms, the photos and the phone number all work with every cookie blocked.
Who else touches your information
- Netlify hosts this website and receives what you type into the forms. Its servers are outside Australia.
- Google and Meta receive the analytics and advertising data described above, on servers in the United States and elsewhere.
- Our own team, so we can quote and do the work.
Anything else is up to us telling you first, unless the law requires us to hand something over.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and to do the job, and after that for as long as we need to keep normal business records — quotes, invoices, warranty claims. If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we will, unless we have to keep it for tax or legal reasons.
Asking to see it, fix it or delete it
Email info@caobafrenchpolish.com.au and ask. We will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, and delete what we can. We aim to answer within 30 days and we do not charge for it.
If you are not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we start using something new, we change this page and change the date at the top. There is no mailing list for this — the current version is always the one on this page.
