Frequently asked

Surface repair questions.

What surfaces do you repair?

We repair stone and laminate benchtops, timber furniture, kitchen cabinets and wardrobes, doors and frames, walls, tiles, timber and laminate floors, stainless steel, aluminium, powder coat and glass. If it is a surface with a chip, scratch, crack, burn mark or stain, send us a photo.

Do you come to me?

Yes. All our work is done on site, in homes, apartments, offices, hotels and building sites across Sydney. We do not have a workshop and nothing needs to be taken away. We cover the area around the repair and clean up when we finish.

How do I get a quote?

Send us a photo of the damage through the form on this page, on WhatsApp or by email. We reply with a fixed written quote within one business day. It is free and there is no obligation.

How long does a repair take?

Most repairs are finished in one visit. Larger jobs, like a French polished dining table or a builder defect list, are booked over more than one visit. We tell you the time in the quote.

Will I be able to see the repair?

The job is to make the repair blend into the surface around it. We mix the colour on site, match the pattern and match the sheen. On plain surfaces the repair is very hard to find. On heavy patterns we tell you up front how close we can get.

Is it cheaper to repair or replace?

A repair is usually a fraction of the cost of replacing, because there is no new item, no trade to remove the old one and no lead time. If replacing is the better option we say so before you spend anything.

Do you do French polishing and furniture restoration?

Yes. We restore timber furniture and French polish it by hand with shellac. That includes antique pieces, dining tables, doors, staircases and wall panelling. We do it on site, where the piece is, and we repair the marks before we polish.

Are you insured?

Yes. We are insured and WHS-compliant. We send our insurance and WHS documents before we come on site when a builder or a strata manager needs them.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes. Every repair we do is guaranteed.
