Some damage is not worth repairing, and we say so before you spend anything.

Cracks and chips through the glass. Cracked glass has to be replaced.
Deep scratches that would leave a visible distortion once polished out. We tell you from a photo and a fingernail test.
Scratches on the inside of a double-glazed unit. There is no way to reach them.

Can scratches be removed from glass?

Yes, most scratches can be polished out. We grind the scratch out with finer and finer abrasives and polish the glass back to clear. The test is your fingernail. If it catches in the scratch, it is deep and we tell you how the polished spot will look. If it does not catch, the repair will be very hard to see.

Can you repair a scratched shower screen without replacing it?

Yes. We polish scratches and water marks out of the glass in place. The screen stays in its frame. Most shower screens are done in one visit and can be used the same day.

Do you remove scratches on building sites?

Yes. Windows, balustrades and shopfronts often get scratched by trades and cleaners before handover. We polish them out on site, to the defect list, and can work after hours. We are insured and WHS-compliant.

Will there be a distortion after the repair?

On light scratches, no. On deep scratches a small amount of glass has to come off and a slight distortion can show at some angles. We look at the depth first and tell you what to expect before you decide.
